Puna Deepsta member of Soweto’s Serenity Lounge Sessions increased the tempo a bit at Life Muzik Picnic. His groovy set containing Soulful and Deep House solid tunes got people wiggling their toes. The Funsion team witnessed it all.
Puna Deepsta from Meadowlands aka Ndofaya (Soweto) is a member of a crew called Serenity Lounge Sessions (SLS). Which began organising events in 2012. Other members are Sir Juice, Supreme Socialist and Domenic.
This musical movement illuminates and represents vibrance and uniqueness amongst other musical subculture. Incorporating an ecliptic sound of genres such as Nujazz, Broken Beats, Deep House, Soulful and Jazzy House, and Lounge.
The collective have headed this movement and have managed to maintain and not compromise on this musical subculture’s standard. In short, the movement is more than a sub culture, but more of a lifestyle where musical souls are emancipated by music. And by people who dance the dance of an abstract underground musical subculture. Just watch out for Serenity Lounge Sessions in your area, where creativity and abstract aspects of art and music dwells.
And on this day, 26 December 2017, Puna exhibited the art of Deejaying with ease.
Wearing one of SLS’s t-shirt he built his set up, starting from mellow songs to jams forcing the audience to shake it a bit. His mixing made certain they don’t miss a step or lose the momentum. Life Muzik Picnic’s crowd seem surprised.
